Founded , in response to the challenges faced by local communities, including gender inequality, violence, social exclusion, and limited opportunities for vulnerable groups. As a community-based organization, we believe that lasting solutions come from within the community itself. We work for and with the community, ensuring that local voices, knowledge, and leadership remain at the heart of every initiative.

Through this community-driven approach, MWWT promotes community ownership, inclusion, active participation, and resilience in all the actions we implement. We believe that sustainable change is achieved when communities take the lead in identifying challenges, designing solutions, implementing solutions, and monitoring progress. To strengthen local resilience, we have established community-based conflict management committees and community early warning systems that support conflict prevention, monitoring, early response, and long-term community resilience.
